Music Monday ~ Other Side of the Radio

Happy Music Monday!!
I didn't think I would have enough time to find a video for you all this week but I stumbled across this song by Chris Rice as I was enjoying my coffee.  I am not much of a country music fan but Other Side of the Radio is a fun and upbeat song, I hope you enjoy it!

Here I am on the other side of the radio
Wondering why I'm here and why anybody cares what I say
No, I'm not a better man cause I'm singing my songs on the radio
Cause we're all the same
At the end of the day

Now I imagine you on the other side of the radio
Doing your homework, or driving with your windows down on the freeway
I see you tapping the wheel, I see you bobbing your head to the radio
And it makes my day
To see that smile on your face
And in some small way
I remember my place

Cause it's you and me singing the same song right now
And maybe this'll bring us together somehow
And maybe there's a million people all singing along
Somebody started thinking about the third line
And maybe someone's saying a prayer for the first time
And that's enough reason to keep me singing my songs
Singing my songs on the other side of the radio

Crank up the volume, and sing at the top of your lungs with the radio
Tuning in to some Good News, and laughing along with the DJ
We're changing somebodys world from the other side of the radio
And it makes my day
To see that smile on your face
And in some small way
I remember my place

Cause it's you and me singing the same song right now
And maybe this'll bring us together somehow
And maybe there's a million people all singing along
Somebody started thinking about the third line
And maybe someone's saying a prayer for the first time
And thats enough reason to keep me singing my songs
Singing my songs on the other side of the radio

Music Monday ~ Sing Along

Happy Music Monday bloggy world!!
Another crazy and busy week here in my little corner of the world...and I wouldn't have it any other way.  I find myself enjoying each day to it's fullest, smiling at the most unexpected things and looking forward to each new opportunity that comes my way.  God is so good!  Have a listen to this song by Sixteeen Candles, I promise it will make you smile and that you will be singing along in no time at all!

When I look into the painted sky
I see so many colors
They're all a part of your design
It's such a brilliant display

Chorus:
I love the way the stars shine for you
And every single mountain bows down
I love the way the universe is singing your song
So I'll try to sing along

Looking up into the dark blue night
I'm in awe of your power
The way the moon pulls the ocean's tide
You are never contained

Chorus:
I love the way the stars shine for you
And every single mountain bows down
I love the way the universe is singing your song
So I'll try to sing along

All the world is singing your song
I raise my voice and sing along

I love the way the stars shine...for you
I love the way the stars shine...for you

Chorus:
I love the way the stars shine for you
And every single mountain bows down
I love the way the universe is singing your song

Chorus:
I love the way the stars shine for you
And every single mountain bows down
I love the way the universe is singing your song
So I'll try to sing along

Music Monday ~ Show You Love

Happy Music Monday my friends!!
My week has been filled with packing, children with fevers, sore throats and stuffy noses, a sprained wrist (mine!) and making plans for another trip to Denver for passports (don't ask!). So, needless to say, I am happy to take a quick moment for myself this morning to recharge my batteries.  I found this live version of Show you Love this morning.  It is a wonderful song performed by Jars of Clay, another of my many favorite christian bands.  I hope you enjoy it!

Speak - and say the words that no one else will ever say
Love - love like the world we know is over in a day

I'm gonna show you love in every language
I'm gonna speak with words that need no form
I'm gonna give you what you never had before

You're beautiful and I am weakened by the force of your eyes
So shine bright to separate the truth from the lies
I'm gonna show you love

I'm gonna show you love in every language
I'm gonna speak with words that need no form
I'm gonna give you what you never had before

So tie me to a tree and let the smoke and ash collect
No, I won't regret to let love do what love will let
We can drown in mixed emotions or walk across an angry sea
This is the cost of being free

I'm gonna show you love in every language
I'm gonna speak with words that need no form
I'm gonna give you what you never had before

Music Monday ~ Keys to the Kingdom

I hope you all had a joyous Mothers Day yesterday, mine was relatively uneventful which is just fine by me - everyday is Mothers Day around here!!  We have had a very busy week, lots of packing and sorting, and arrangements being made.  A week of cheering, dancing, celebrating and praising God!  I have been dropping into bed exhausted every night, which feels so good, but it also makes it more tempting to sleep in the next day.  Thankfully,  this song got me up and out of bed this morning; Keys to the Kingdom sung by Group 1 Crew.  Thanks for visiting my blog today, I pray your day is blessed!!

Thy kingdom come
let your will be done
on Earth as it is in Heaven

They say we're all in the pursuit of happiness (a life so fabulous)
so we fight for what's ours like an activist
the struggles here we can find across the atlas
and it all started when Adam gave up his own palace.
Now the earth waits for its' rightful owner
2000 years ago the second Adam told us
the kingdom is at hand
died for the sins of man
just so He can bring us back to its original plan.
Well we rule over the land (yea)
and meet every demand (yea)
and nature awaits for us keys to take a stand
but we need to understand (yea) that we can change the circumstances (yea)
the kingdom is in us so we choose when to advance.

You got the keys inside this kingdom
lift up your head its only begun
keep holding on and you'll see the son
everybody's singin' now (everybody's singin' now)
you got the keys inside this kingdom
lift up your head its only begun
keep holding on and you'll see the son
everybody's singing now (everybody's singin' now)
ohhhhhh
whooaaaaa

I heard this thing that you would die for me
gladly gave your life for me
cry for me
all so i can call you when I'm so in need
the promises you'd spoken
my heart was always broken
cause you gave the keys to life
but in my pride i had them stolen
they say you still redeem us
bring us to a place where we can see the keys can never be stolen
they just misplaced
so we rise from the ashes
stand before the masses
proclaim the victory
you solved and so we (never give up)
keep the good times
get hard to understand (it's never enough)
for us to sit back and hope he has a plan (we have to stand up)
and face the cold with a boldness that is focused on the fact
we got the keys so just believe there's nothin closed
yeaaa

and it's all because
You got the keys inside this kingdom (you got the keys)
lift up your head its only begun (it's only begun)
keep holding on and you'll see the son
everybody's singin' now (everybody's singin' now)
you got the keys inside this kingdom (you got the keys)
lift up your head it's only begun (it's only begun)
keep holding on and you'll see the son (yeaah)
everybody's singing now (everybody's singin' now)

you got the keys now
you ain't never given up on us
we ain't never given up the keys no
we ain't never no
we ain't never no

So many promises you gave (you gave, you gave, you gave)
and we just turned and walked away
but now I see the price you paid (price you paid)
was enough for us to live victorious

yea
yea
yea
yea
victorious
yea
yea
yea
yea

You got the keys inside this kingdom
lift up your head its only begun
keep holding on and you'll see the son
everybody's singin' now (everybody's singin' now)
you got the keys inside this kingdom
lift up your head its only begun
keep holding on and you'll see the son
everybody's singing now (everybody's singin' now)

Music Monday ~ Your Grace Is Enough

We are stepping out on faith, trusting in God's grace, love and compassion. I enjoyed this song over the weekend, it brought me encouragement and peace as I hope it does for you as well. Matt Maher singing Your Grace is Enough. Thank you all for your continued prayers; they are appreciated more than you will ever know.
