Happy Music Monday! What a joyous time of year this is; once the Thanksgiving leftovers have been put away I am 'in the Christmas spirit'! I had a couple songs that I wanted to share with you today, then I thought, why not share one each Monday from now until Christmas? The first 'Christmas Edition' of Music Monday has begun and I would love to have you join me, once, twice or even three times!
Today I am sharing the very first song we play every Christmas season, this song goes in the CD player and we start dancing and singing, then it is on to putting up the tree and decorating the house. The video leaves something to be desired, but I have posted the lyrics for you. It is all in good fun!!
I Wish it Could be Christmas Everyday - A* Teens
When the snowman brings the snow
Well he just might like to know
He's put a great big smile on somebody's face
If you jump into your bed
Quickly cover up your head
Don't you lock the doors
You know that sweet Santa Claus in on the way
[Chorus]
Well I wish it could be Christmas every day
When the kids start singing and the band begins to play
Oh I wish it could be Christmas every day
So let the bells ring out for Christmas
When we're skating in the park
If the snow cloud makes it dark
Then your rosy cheek's gonna light my merry way
Now the frosty paws appear
And they've frozen up my ear
So we'll lie by the fire
'Til the sleet simply knocks 'em all away
[Chorus]
When the snowman brings the snow (snowman brings the snow)
Well he just might like to know (just might like to know)
He's put a great big smile on somebody's face
So if Santa brings that sleigh (Santa brings that sleigh)
All along the Milky Way (along the Milky Way)
I'll sign my name on the rooftop in the snow
Then he may decide to stay
[Chorus]
Why don't you give your love for Christmas?

We start our season with The Muppet Christmas Carol every year. I love traditions!
Thanks Shawntele!
What a great idea!
Sorry I didn't come prepared with a "Christmas" song, but I hope you like the one I've entered today:))
Next week, I'll be back with a Christmas favorite to be sure!
As I posted, my song is not a Christmas song, but I think it reflects the reason for Christmas pretty well.
We start our Christmas season with Elvis' Blue Christmas. It reminds me of when I was little decorating with my family, but now my kids know that mommy's in the Christmas mood when this cd is played.
Hello Shawntele,
Thinking of you. I hope all is well.
God bless you,
Jasmine
What a fun song! It's been a long time since I've heard it. I'm having a hard time getting into the spirit this year. Hopefully we can decorate on Saturday. That will help!
