Overwhelmed or Renewed?

I am overwhelmed with sticky notes, 'favorite' websites, rss feeds, want-to-do lists! Spam emails, media messages, peer pressure (self induced), bookmarks! Food requests, laundry, dirty dishes, fwd'd emails I do not care to read, IDEAS! It seems like I just get things under control and not a moment later I am up to my eyeballs in these 'things' again. What is a girl to do? Meditate on one of the few scriptures I have committed to memory?

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is, his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Romans 12:2 NIV

Or perhaps I should memorize this as well?

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
Psalm 51:10 NIV

I will do this and I will pray.

Lord, forgive me when I get consumed by worldly things, the things that compete for my love and attention, my passion. I pray that you will renew my mind and my spirit and help keep me focused on you Lord, always on you.  Amen

Amen, I am glad I am not the only one there. Lol. I have been trying to back off computer to help ease part of the extra load. But man the rest. Thanks for the encourager. Have a blessed week.

Been there and I'm sure I'll end up back again. Embrace the 'delete' button, make it your friend. I also have a folder of bookmarks for 'read later'. That way they're filed away somewhere, I don't have to remember them, and I can get to them when I want.

Hmm . . . a clean heart, indeed! :)

@Homeschool 101 ~ The computer is an easy one, it's the day to day that you can't get away from! lol

@Q ~ The problem with my 'read it later' folder is that it is much to full, I may just delete it as well!

Thanks for stopping by ladies!! :O)

Thanks, my friend. I've struggled for a couple of weeks about actually posting that post because I didn't want people to think I was fishing for compliments. However, God blessed me with your words tonight.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

Okay, considering your post above and the fact that i should either be praying, in bed or both, I feel a bit "worldly" sharing this, but I am honoring you with an award at http://traininghappyhearts.blogspot.com/2010/10/7-quick-takes-and-another-honor.html

No need to get to it anytime soon. Just wanted to let you know...

This post is what I've been struggling with lately. I can only imagine what it's like for you with homeschooling. I just started journalling and promised my self that before I look over blogs that I would pray, study and journal. However, having only one computer and getting voted off the desk chair on a regular basis is hard to keep this promise. Hopefully, something will come for Christmas like a net book. :)
