Today was officially ‘Back to School’ for our homeschooling family. We started our day with prayer and some reading from George Muller – The Guardian of Bristol’s Orphans by Janet & Geoff Benge. It is a part of the Christian Heroes: Then & Now series, (I plan to read and discuss four of these books this year). Next, the kids filled out their “All About Me” pages, the same one we use every year. Then, Little Man had an online orientation for some of his high school courses, so the girls made cursive doodle bugs (check out my pal Aly’s homeschool blog, Simple Amusements, for the how-to) and did a minute math fact sheet. We finished the morning by heading out for lunch with Cowboys Fan. If only every day were this carefree! lol
I am so happy that summer is over for us and we can back into a routine; I have a lot of new things planned for this year.
More to come on our final curriculum choices and lesson plans, favorite recipes, re-designed blog, and Music Mondays.
Just like my Annie friend, Jen, says…
“God is good.”

So, glad to hear that your day went well. I can't wait to see your re-design.
Boy dont I know it. I have been out of it trying to get back in it. Our family visiting us from out of state messed our first year of year round groove. Urr. Lol! Glad you had a great day.
So glad to hear your first day back went well. I can't wait to get back to school. We started light and soon will get into things full force. Can't wait to hear about your homeschooling adventures.
If it wasn't this it would be something else....
Life is a word until you go through it!
Glad we connected.
Glad we're neighbours.
I'll be monitoring your year...(grin) and looking forward to enjoying some of it with you!
HUGS!
