In all the drama I have learned a couple things that are not necessarily new ideas to me, but the points hit home this week.
~ What works for other homeschooling families will not necessarily work for mine. My family and our circumstances are different from everyone else; it is fine to listen to ideas and suggestions but ultimately God will lead the way we are to travel.
~ God is performing a work in me, as a wife and mother, as a teacher, and as a uniquely and wonderfully made daughter of the Creator. My walk is my own and God knows exactly where I am headed and what He has planned. It will come to pass, just as he has decided it will.
This is what I have been meditating on:
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13 KJV
This is what I have been focusing on with the children:
I Am, I Can, I Ought, I Will

Thanks so much for sharing your heart today. Just this morning, I was having a pep talk with another homeschool mom. It's hard to not compare and its hard to sometimes not throw in the towel!
Keep striving!! His power is perfected in weakness (good thing cuz I have a lot of weakness to give Him)!

O Shawntele, I am so sorry! I have been on and off myself with things going around here. I am so sorry for your families loss. The burden you have carried over the course of this last week. My prayers for you and your family. I know that you will find the best way to homeschool your children down Gods appropriate path for you all. It is very easy to pick up these wonderful Ideas other have and get off track. I have done that myself.
Hang in there. Things will get better I am sure of that. Keep your faith in His words, promises. He will come through in His time. Holding you up in my prayers. God bless you my friend!

Your post is wonderful and so appropriate for today's feast day of St. Francis de Sales!!! A favorite guy of mine!!! He said "Do not try to be anything other than who you are...and try to be that perfectly"!!! That's right in line with your thoughts for the day Shawntele!
